BePart Study

Help adolescents to a better mental health with your experience!

What's this study about?

Our research team from the Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Bern is developing an online program for adolescents to strengthen their well-being and mental health. The online program should be understandable and motivating. In addition, it should be specifically tailored to the needs and concerns of young people. Therefore, we want to actively involve adolescents and young adults as experts in the program development and implementation.

What does participation involve?

A member of our team will ask you a few questions online or live on site, for example about how an online program should be designed to be as appealing as possible to young people. We are interested in your opinion! The interview will last about 30-45 minutes. It will be recorded as audio and encrypted, so that no conclusion can be drawn about your personal answer, and you can remain anonymous.

Who can participate?

All young German speaking people between the ages of 12 and 21 can participate. It doesn't matter if you have had any experience with online programs or mental health issues or not.

Why should one participate?

Your views and ideas for improving youth mental health matter and of great interest to us! By participating, you will help us develop an online program for adolescents. This is designed to help young people strengthening their mental health. You will also get an insight into how a scientific study is conducted. As a thank you for your participation you will receive a voucher worth 20CHF and any travel costs will be covered.

If you have any questions or would like to participate, do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail (stefanie.schmidt@unibe.ch or anja.hirsig1@unibe.ch) or PM us via Instagram (@unibe_kjp).
